I have been with MTN for the past 10 years and decide to port my wife's number (from Vodacom prepaid) to a MTN contract. To my dismay this process, which I was told will only take 24 hours, has been a nightmare. Her Vodacom sim has been deactivated on the 20th of May and till this day the new sim in the new phone has yet to be activated. So I am paying for a phone my wife can not use.

I have tried call MTN numerous time and all they can say is that someone is busy with it. (Ref: 2168932)

Next time. Inform your customers that they will be without communication for such a long time and she could have just stayed with Vodacom.

Maybe Vodacom to MTN would be quicker.
