TELKOM won't assist 90 year old in Frail Care!

My mother-in-law was moved from one room to another in the same building on the same floor in frail care in Northcliff, Johannesburg, on 2nd January 2013. We immediately went to Cresta Centre Telkom Direct with a letter from her requesting the telephone line to be discontinued in her old room and transfered to the one down the passage. We had her ID Book and a certified copy to accompany the written request for transfer. The clerk behind the counter refused to assist us saying that we could do this with the call centre. He then took us over to a phone in the centre and called the call centre. I made the request telephonically. I received a reference number and was informed that it would take 7 -21 days. I phoned up today to enquire on the progress and was informed that the call centre could not assist me as it was not my phone. I would have to take a letter, with her ID and a certified copy to Telkom Direct. I informed the call centre clerk that I had done this already. She just said that there was nothing she could do!!! This is pathetic and apathetic!!! Help!!!
