I applied for ADSL in Jan.
No lines was available and they said I will be able to get a line only 5 MAY after I followed up 2 times at the branch.
Then I went on the Telkom website and applied for a ADSL line a week ago. Monday morning (18 Feb) the lady phoned and said all is fine with the lines. And activated my account and gave me a Ref number. When I went to the branch, they opened the account and told me it is connected and set up.
After installing my modem, the Internet light is red so I phoned the call center. Got another ref number and they transfered it to the technical dept. I asked to be put through to the supervisior as the call centre opperator could not answer all my questions.
He laughed and put down the phone without putting me through.
I phoned today again, and got transfered to the technical dept. The lady could not pick up any of the Ref numbers that I received in the past two days.
So, still no internet! As they now tell me again there are no lines.
Nobody know if there are a line or not and where. The phone sales lady confirmed twice that there are a line ready for me.
Urgent response will be welcome as I need Internet for my work.
