I currently have a cell phone contract with MTN and I am aware that my contract will expire in Dec 2013. I was contacted by an MTN Head office call centre agent Thandiwe Ndabeni who asked if I was interested in any of the new packages they have on offer.
I had her email the options to me and emailed her my choice, only to get an abrupt reply from her saying that I am only due for an upgrade in August 2013, so I cannot have the new package that I had chosen.
I am irritated with MTN! Call centre agents should check customers' contract statuses before contacting them. If they knew upfront that I was not due for an upgrade yet, then they shouldn't have contacted me during a busy work day. They are wasting my time. When my contract is up I will consider changing service providers.
