Taking advantage of the elderly!

My elderly grandparents are customers of Autopage. After the commencement of their 2 year contract in April 2011 it became apparent that they were blatantly misrepresented by one of the consultants regarding the terms of the contract and was bound to a 2 year agreement which they could not get out of. Many failed attempts were made to have the contract set aside without incurring any uneccesary costs. The termination date was to be 29 April 2013.To ensure that the contract would be terminated by the end of April a fax was sent to Autopage in March 2013 and Autopage acknowledged receipt thereof. We were informed (in May) that the contract will only be terminated by the end of May 2013 and not end April 2013, with reason being that the conversion from contract to prepaid could not be done (IF one wished to keep the same cell phone number, which my grandparents couldn't care less to do) after the 28th of each month. They explained that, since the contract was to terminate on the 29th of April and not the 28th, my grandparents would be held liable for payment for the month of May as well. This was explained to ONLY me AFTER the extension of the contract upon my enquiry. Utterly disgusted.
