Vodacom pages stops third party app from working

I have Flipboard installed on a Samsung Galaxy Tab. Since about two days ago when I clicked on a news item to read the full report, Vodacom inserts a page "Change Mobile Internet Settings. Vodacom offers you... Display options Adapt websites, Do no adapt websites." I can click and select until I am blue in the face, your page doesn't work and I cannot proceed to any of my news articles. There is even a My Account link at the bottom taking you to an empty 'Vodafone' page, which only displays when I enter the address into the browser on my Mac. I can switch to wifi and deselect mobile data, gps, etc. Vodacom blocks my pages. The device is useless to me now.
