I received my REFURBISHED phone on saturday 11/5/2013 from MTN greenstone and I only started using the phone yesterday 13/5/2013 as I had left the battery at work.
I put in my contract sim card and the phone refuses to work I then phoned the MTN Contract Contact Centre and they transferred me to technical support - that did not help either as they couldnt figure out the problem.
I phoned the boksburg service centre today 14/5/2013 who then adviced me to contact 083 1555 which I then did.
A gentleman from the 083 1555 number tried to assist me by asking me to perform manual network search which was unsuccessful, Siphiwe then adviced me that my phone has a software error and I should take it back to MTN.
So Mantoa from MTN who assured me that a refurbished phone is almost the same as a new phone needs to tell me what to do now as I am left without a phone AGAIN. I am on the verge of cancelling ALL my contracts with MTN as I am losing business now or maybe I should bill MTN for the business I have lost for today as they will be billing me at the end of the month without blinking an eye.
