I went to Vodaworld last week to hand in my Vodafone Tab for repairs and while I was there I decided to also hand in my blackberry 9360 phone so that they could establish why the phone and battery was getting very hot. The phone was in perfect working order aside from the fact that it gets very hot. I have the phone for 4 months now and this problem started from the 1st or 2nd day that I had the phone. On Friday, one of the ladies from the repair centre phones me and tells me that I have to pay R 1800 for the repairs because of liquid damage but she cannot explain how or why it was that way. She also mentioned that the lcd was cracked but this was not so when the phone was handed in. My wife spoke to someone yesterday who says that liquid damage cud be caused by the phone heating and cooling and that it is not covered and the reason they have insurance is for that. The R 1800 is for a new handset because they do not fix the phone for that damage as it is very tricky. She rejected the offer and requested the phone back in the same condition it was handed in. We have not received any feedback regarding this as the phone seems to have been damaged in the workshop.
