Excessive billing

I have been an mtn subscriber for a few years and not had much of a problem. But since April things have gone wrong. I upgraded my old blackberry to the z10 and now the charges have escalated to. A ridiculous amount!! On average with my last phone I had a bill of R637 now since my z10 upgrade I suddenly have a bill of R9764.00!!! ' I spoke to Kedibone and Chubby who were very helpfully and polite but the issue is how could my account escalate like this, why no one contacted me about suspending my account or that suddenly there was a sudden noticeable increase of usage and why can I only get an itemized bill on the 26th May? I am very distraught over this as I can not afford it and I would cancel it but have been informed that I would have to pay this mystery bill and pay for the phone which would come to about R20 000!!!
This is insane and I would like it rectified immediately!
