My daughter is a student out of town. Her 24 month contract was available for upgrade from January sometime. As she was not here, it was not done. Until I noticed that her account (which I pay for) was charged at a higher rate for the last 2 months. When I enquired with MTN why, the feedback was that it was because she had not ugraded and therefore she was automatically put on the higher available contract at an additional R59.00 per month. At no point was I informed that this would be happening. I thought the old contract would just roll over until such time as she upgraded.
