I started a contract with Vodacom in 2011, April. They gave me a good deal for a Blackberry. I upgraded this Jan-my phone broke. I was desperate &took the next best deal, I now pay MORE for the same thing.
The new curve is virtually exactly the same in terms of functionality and appearance, and yet I am paying more? Bit bizare right? I got my mother a contract in September for the same phone.
There have been some great deals advertised for BETTER phones from Vodacom and their competitiors, MTN, Heita and Cell C. My colleague has a much better phone, Samsung Galaxy 2 and has more airtime and inclusions and pays nearly R70 LESS? This I feel is a representation of how much I have been ripped off by this supplier for both of the "contracts" that I have entred into. I am not stingy and am quite prepared to pay what things are worth but there is no value in what I have received when compared to the rest of the market. When I called Vodacom to discuss this with them, they explained that I had to pay in the whole contract or pay for an entirely new contract. No help or arrangements to keep me. On principle I will cancel and take my business elsewhere. Do Not Use Vodacom- Rip Off Artists!
