Faulty bb returned - "liquid damage"

I contacted Cell C customer care on 084 147 on the 12/4/13 since my Blackberry started acting up and wouldn't charge or sync with any of my computers. The customer care consultant told me that my phone's warranty's expiring and that he suggests I take it to the branch closest to me and book it for repairs.

I took some time off at work and drove to the East Rand mall where I booked the handset in. The consultant tested the handset and agreed that the USB port is faulty.

I was told that the repairs may take up to six weeks, signed the document and left. Yesterday 7/5/13 Cell C phoned me and told me that my handset's ready for collection, but when I arrived I was surprised to find that the faulty handset was not repaired.

The jobcard attached to the plastic bag it was stored in was marked BER and I was told that the warranty expired AND that it had liquid damage.

I work in the IT industry and take care of my electronic equipment, I did not drop the phone in a toilet or spill anything on it. The documentation proved that the phone was handed over before the warranty expired.

I'm disgusted, honestly expected more. Cell C for yourselves how they rip you off.
