I have had intermittent 4Mb ADSL line problems dating back to 2012. In January 2013 the problem at the Three Rivers exchange was fixed and the ADSL worked fine. In March the ADSL line started with problems again and was reported and also directly by email to the previous Telkom employees who assisted with the problem in January. A fault 720CTK020413 was opened and remains open. On 26/04/2013 I received an email to say that the problem had been referred to Telkom's CNFO (Core Network Field Operations) division. As at this morning, nothing appears to have been done and the download speed is between 0.44 and 0.73Mbps and upload is between 0.11 and 0.18 Mbps using [URL Removed] and [URL Removed] to check them. These are well below the speeds I've had in the past and what can be expected from a 4Mb line. There doesn't appear to be any rush to fix this ADSL line which is used for business purposes.
