On 18 December I paid my Vodacom account at Vodacom Cresta. My cell number was still active on their system when I made the payment (I had been disconnected as payment was late - we were on holiday). When I followed up the next day as to why my phone was still inactive, I found out my number had accidently been deleted. I have spent a very frustrating 2 days speaking to numerous Vodacom employees (I have their names and there are several) all of whom says: Sorry, our mistake but you can't have your number back. I use my cell for business and the loss of my number means a loss of business for me! Why can't Vodacom fix this?
