Mweb
Domain Registration Failure

On April 19 I submitted formal application for domain registration in the CO.ZA TLD. After many, many hours and exchange of dozens of emails, the domain was eventually registered after about 10 days, despite the 24 to 72 hour service levels promised by the ISP. However we are still unable to access the domain control panel that will allow us to maintain the account, set up mailboxes and the like. We have been pushed from pillar to post. We have dozens of calls open on this issue but nobody at MWeb seems to have sufficient competence to resolve our issues. This is one of five separate service requests lodged with MWeb in the past few weeks, none of which were resolved in the time promised, all of which are problematic and three of which remain unresolved.

It is no surprise therefore, when looking at the MWeb management organogram, to find that there is nobody in senior management responsible for customer service. It sure does show. It is likewise impossible to penetrate the call centre to anybody with sufficient competence and sufficient authority or accountability to fix the issues we are facing.

No surprise then that I am leaving MWeb as soon as I possibly can.
