Cancellation of a cellphone contract

Took a contract with with vodacom in 2009 and sent and intention to terminate it when it expired in 2011. It recently came to my attention that the company has been debiting for that account. I was at a vodashop yesterday and the lady who was assisting me did confirm the communication to terminate but could not explain why it was still debiting and tried to call their call centre with not success and she eventually gave me numbers to call which I tried a couple of time with no success this morning and when it finally happened the lady said she could not help me because I did not know the account number even after giving her the cell number in question and my ID number and everything else she asked for. She finally transferred me to another lady who promised to log a query and send it to cancellation dept. Now i'm sitting without any information of what is happening with this account because of consultants who seen to not be having a clue of what they are there for especially the one who started this whole mess when i was cancelling the contract back in 2011 and most importantly sitting with an account less R144.50 per month of almost 18 months if not more.
