In the last week of April I tried to upgrade my cell contract, I went to the 4ways branch. After waiting an hour to be served, I was told they were out of stock of the phone they advertised with no ETA on when they would have stock. I was told to just carry on paying for my old contract. When I complained the consultant told me to call the call centre. The first consulatnt at the call centre indicated I could get the phone within 2-7days but none of the features would be availble of the new package until the 1st June as the "system" worked that way and I was to pick up an extra data bundle in the interim at an additional cost. My call was on the 2nd May. When I complained about this and asked to speak to the manager - I was forwarded to another consultant - I could upgrade for an immediate charge of R80... but now there was no guarantee when I could get the new phone. Consultants had no clue as to pricing for adding an extra 2 gig data as advertised by Vodacom - with two of them contradicting each other on timing of me getting the new phone. The Manager of the upgrade call centre refused to come on the line with my call being passed between consultants.
