I have been receiving emails with statements suggesting that I posses an MTN contract which was opened in Centurion in December 2011. I have stated in many occasions that I was in out of the country during that time and thus impossible for me to have acquired the contract. This has been aggravated by the countless SMS's sent to my personal number demanding a final payment of R17 023.
I have written to MTN requesting the copies of the ID, Bank Statement, Pay Slip and Proof of residence used in opening this account to no avail. I requested that a copy of the contract with the applicants signature be forwarded to me in order for me to compare the signatures used in opening the account. I was notified that it will take a few weeks for the request to be sent through and for the contract to be forwarded to me. This request was made in November 2012 and we have not received anything to date.
There has been no information nor proof that MTN is currently conducting an investigation into this case. The Law Firm sent by MTN has also failed to respond to my emails.
I just want this matter to be treated with urgency and fairly investigated.
