I am a member of Planet Fitness in Port Elizabeth. My two-year contract expired several months ago. After inquiring at the front desk the lady confirmed that my contact had expired. I was told to write a letter to cancel the debit order, which I did. I was told my request had been processed but I will have to make one more payment. That's the first problem. Secondly, I am sure it is not legal to carry on with a debit order once the time period has run out. Surely? I will double check this with a lawyer. I was also not informed in any way that my contract had expired. I know I am not the only one that has experienced this.
