I had a contract with planet fitness for a period of 3 years, started September 2007, and had to end September 2010. when the contract expired, they kept on deducting money from our bank account, for 3 months. I phoned them and advised the contract has expired. they advised me that it has been automatically renewed, which was strange, since i did advise them en the beginning of September when one of their employees phoned me and asked whether it should be renewed or not. i said no, it should not be renewed. i had to write them a letter then, when i realised the contract was still not cancelled, and wrote them one in December. The contract had to be cancelled in December 2010, which i struggled to get confirmation of. I heard a week ago I was handed over to attorneys for my planet fitness account which was in arrears. ARREARS??? 6 years went by, and now suddenly my so called account is in arrears? never did i receive any statements nor complaints, but they recon i am in arrears. i don't think they have a proper bookkeeper. i don't know how to dissolve this, i don't have money for a lawyer, nor do i have money to paid this so called debt.
