Wrong billing

According to Planet fitness in Witbank I have a contract with them. I never took out a contract with Planet Fitness Witbank. I received my first account in Aug 2012. I went to see the manager in person, requesting to see the signed contract. But with no joy. They had some excuse of only one person working with the documents and it will take a long time before we receive the original copy.
I faxed an official cancelation letter, as the account keeps growing...
Obviously I didn't hear a word from them.
No one called to confirm cancelation or the lack of it.
The account now stands on a shocking R9000.00, and a suggested hand over.
I don't know what to do!
