I went to Maponya Mall Smart Gym to cancel my membership with them, I spoke to Fikile and she told me I will have to pay R3700.00 for each subscribtion and alternatively I can find a replacement who will pay on my behalf. I AM GOING TO THE NATIONAL CONSUMER WATCH (NCW) and I will take this up with the CPA as this does not fall in line with new laws that have been passed by Consumer Protection ACT. I am extremely disgusted with the service received from the Gymnasium and have requested to cancel my membership, instead i have been informed by FIKILE that i have a 34 month contract with the gym that i haven't signed and now they are requesting a R3700.00 fee for cancellation. I find this to be and i will be placing an official article in our local newspaper to make the people of Pimville aware of the exploitation occuring in the GYM. I will not let this be an ongoing process as I am, among other people, putting food on the GYM'S table and if this is how I get thanked, then I guess the GYM should close down. I speak on behalf of myself and others who are not aware of this issue especially the Pimville society.
