No response or feedback of damaged golf clu

I bought a set of golf clubs from mr price sport in December 2012. Early in January I played at a driving range and as I struck the ball, the head broke clean off. I took the golf club back to the store and told them I lost my proof of purchase, but I payed with a card so there is proof. I even kept the packaging. They took down my name and number and NEVER called me once after that. I went back to the store (after a month) and they did not even know about the broken golf club, so the lady (Nicole de Bruyn) went to her manager and later returned telling me they will see what they can do. She also told me that her manager (Hanno Mouton) said that you are not supposed to hit the ball off the ground (I do actually play golf even though I am a beginner). Another week went by and still no feedback. I went back again and asked for the manager name & surname as well as the lady that helped me. I do not want a new golf set. I want that golf club replaced. I am really disgusted with the way Mr Price Sport treats its clients.
