We received a quotation for two new gym memberships from the Durbanville gym. From the start I made it very clear that I require one membership with Durbanville, and on from Tygervalley. I was assured that I could take out both contracts at Durbanville and was given a price. I was assured that I could move the contract at any time to Tygervalley at no additional cost, and that I could get a good rate from the Durbanville branch.

When we did all the paperwork I again made it clear that my intention was to move the one membership to Tygervalley in the following week, and was told it is no issue.

When I finally went to the Tygervalley gym to move the membership I was told that I would have to pay an additional amount of over a R100 per month after the move (but that the move is free).

I would not have taken out the membership at Tygervalley at the inflated price, and am now stuck with a contract at Durbanville I never wanted. The sales person blatantly in order to get the sale, and this is unacceptable.

I have lodged a complaint with the branch manager Maryke Hensberg, but after numerous follow up mails I have not received any feedback.
