I purchased a golf cart from Goodrich Auctioneers, and on inspecting the Golf Cart before purchasing it i was told that they were sending the Golf Cart in for new batteries. I paid them upfront in cash and was told i would have it in about 3 days. This never happened and i finally collected it over a week and a half. When i sent my Golf cart in for a service the garage called me and showed me that my Golf Cart had in fact been fitted with car batteries instead of Golf Cart batteries, as car batteries are way cheaper but cannot supply enough energy for a Golf Cart. I called Dan at Goodrich Auctioneers to explain this and he told me its one of those things as i bought it from a Auction and there is no guarantee. I am not concerned about the guarantee but rather that this is deceitful, putting car batteries in to get a sale. I have had to repace the batteries with Golf Cart batteries and it cost me R13 000.00. 2 weeks later the diff went on the cart, costing me another R2000.00 for repairs. Please do not do business with these people as they are the public.
