Charges 13 years after company got liquidated

I was SMS by a company under false pretenses to acquire my information. On phoning them they informed me that I was still owing Health and Racket R1900 for debit orders not going off. During those years you had to do it via credit card if you wanted to become a member. Also once we joined the company closed their doors few days later informing us that they have been liquidated and when I request about the financial loss to me they informed me that there is nothing they can dot, it was out of there hands. I still had to pay the fee even though i would not get the service benefit of using the facility.

Now after 13 years I am phoned by this company trying to collect what they say a so called unpaid debit accounts.

When discussing it with my wife she mentioned that we still had to take a personal loan to pay for the gym contract.
