I had the pleasure of cancelling my contract with Planet Fitness after 3 years. After repeated attempts at phoning the Gym (013 653 9500) the phone just rings, regardless of the time of day.
I cancelled my contract on the 10th of July 2013. The CGM Eugene Groenewald replied that he will load the cancellation and send me a reference number. I am still waiting.
This month planet fitness goes and debits my account for MORE than the usual amount.
1. This contract was cancelled.
2. What gives them the right to just increase fees at random?
I phoned my bank and luckily was able to return the funds.
I have emailed planet fitness on their site is a complaint form, I have not heard anything from them 24 hours later.
I tried phoning Planet Fitness Head office (011 327 0606), with no answer.
I would like to know how not to get debited again as from my part I have given notice and this was acknowledged.
