I am so upset with Planet fitness. In May 2012 i opened a contract with the gym, after paying over R 3000.00 i decided to cancel the contract because I no longer wanted to be at the gym. I went into the Four-ways branch and got a letter from them for cancellation after i sent an email to confirm and state my reason for closing the contract. I got no reply and assumed no news is good news, that was in March last year. Then last week out of the blue an ITC listing company calls me and tells me that planet fitness has handed me over due to lack of payment. I immediately contacted planet fitness fourways to fix the problem. It has now been a week and i still am not getting any clearly on how to correct the problem and get my name clear. everyone i've spoken to is unsure, surely i cant be the first person in this predicament. They never contacted me to let me know that i have an outstanding balance or that my cancellation was not accepted. i feel i have done everything correctly from my side and should be held responsible for the incompetent accounts and admin side of their business. I never want to deal with planet fittness again
