I had a contract with Planet Fitness a while back. I paid in full for the membership. After cancelling and paying the cancellation fee I get a call from their lawyers. They say I owe Planet over R3000. I was surprised and sent them the paper work to say it has been cancelled. The excuse was the call was not logged in. (so if i didn't have my paperwork I would have to have paid them, that is scary) So now planet tells me "send me the payment you made for the settlement" and then I say but i paid it in full!
So now I have my contract that say it was paid in full. Now if i didn't would they want the money from me even though I paid. They basically want this money for nothing.
I dont know how many others they are doing this to as Larrisa from the Planet fitness branch says this is not the first time.
I am so tired of being hounded by them and saying they going to take legal action against me.
I dont know what to do.
I feel like i am being extorted of my money. This company needs to be brought to justice
