Virgin active should be ashamed!

In 2007, At the age of 19 I was wheedled into signing a contract with Virgin active. I informed the consultant that I was in fact unemployed and that if I was going to accept the membership I would have to use my parents banking details. Having been uncertain of long term employment I agreed to to take out the contract for one year only using my mums banking details, the consultant then insisted that was no problem at all and failed to take a 19 year old through the contract without the presence of a guardian.
I then paid back the monthly amount for one year, which there after stopped as agreed with the consultant.

Now 6 years later I am being harassed by MBD for an amount of R1880.00 which was made known to me in 2013- after having agreed on the annual cancellation and canceling directly with Virgin Active. The worst part is I am a current member of the Virgin active and none of this was brought to my attention upon joining in 2009.
Having called Virgin active to clear this up, I have been called a and they are refusing to settle this- I find it disgusting that they treat their customers this way!
Further more, Is this the unethical under handed standards one should expect?!
