Cancellation of contract

I opened up a contract with Planet Fitness with the vitality benefit. I was not impressed with the service from Planet Fitness within the very short 2 weeks so I enquired about cancelling my contract expecting that there would be penalties involved, and so I contacted one of the consultants and asked them specifically and they told me that my contract is not with planet fitness but with Discovery Vitality so I would need to cancel it with them and that is all and any penalties would with Discovery, and so I did with no hassel at all (Discovery said that the membership hadn't even been processed on their side) and sent my reference number to the PF consultant. I then checked my bank statement from last month and saw that Planet Fitness had debited R475 from my account (full premium). The consultant failed to inform me that once my Vitality membership was cancelled it would be automatically transferred to Planet Fitness and I would be charged the full premium every month for the REST OF THE YEAR. I did not expect such unprofessional service from such a large company that deals with people all the time! I will not be held liable for your consultants incompetence.
