Hi, I was approached by sales people from Zone fitness in May 2013 & I told them that I lived in Tableview & so if I joined I would be limited to training week days only, as I work in Town. I did not committ to anything that day, but a few days later I was called by the sales person & after telling him that I was not interested he left it at that. The next day however the sales manager called to offer me a promotional gym contract of only R150 a month. I again stated my reasons for not wanting to join, but he convinced me with clever sales tactics.
I was forced to go & sign the contract the same day or the deal would expire.
That was in May & my first debit went off 1 June 2013. I have never been to train at the gym since joining & feel that they should cancel my contract without charging me 40%, as I have barely been a member for 2 months & I dont intend going as I live too far from Town to still train after work.
Could a senior person please respond.
