At the beginning of 2012 i decided to join a gym to look after myself. Before doing so i told my wife about it and the one day she bought a magazine and in the magazine there were a prize in from Planet Fitness where you must scratch a block to reveal your price. once scratching it revealled that i have won 6months free membership. i went to the branch and was assissted. they told me that the price is only for off peak hours which dont suit me. the assistant then told me that i must take out a contract and he will give me a bag. i then joined and wanted to sign a year contract. he told me that i must take a 3year contract but after a year if i am not interested anymore i can cancel the contract, which i did then. he told me that my payment will be R199 for the full 36months. for the first few months of the year i went there but i got an injury and couldn't go anymore so for the past 8 to 9 months i werent there but still paid my membership. after the year passed i wanted to cancel my contract and they told me i am not allowed to because its a 36mnths contract, my membership was moved up to R219. nothing stays the same like they say. if you go there you may not speak to a manager???
