I have decided to leave Planet Fitness Craighall after 8 years (going red instead), so here are the reasons why to help you improve service in future.
Gym renovations are a fantastic idea, but the way the Craighall renovation is being handled is very shoddy.
1.) We don't care how much it's costing. Please stop telling us how wonderful you are for spending R20 million. We like openness, honesty, integrity much more.
2.) Staff/Instructors should really be told about renovations BEFORE members. It's embarrassing for a class instructor to suddenly face questions about renovations which they know nothing about.
3.) When planning renovations, it would be nice to still have classes running even at an alternative venue. My one class has no alternative at the other clubs.
4.) Are instructors being paid over the renovation period? It's not their problem the club will be closed. They still need an income! Your need to give them slots at other clubs to hold their classes.
5.) People signing new contracts should be warned from 6 months beforehand that the club will be closing. Signing them, then telling them is dishonourable.
Hope this will reach the relevant bosses.
