I have recently attempted to re-join Planet Fitness again. I had hoped that their revamped image would have contributed to a better customer experience. How wrong. Due to me being on Discovery Vitality, I qualify for the 80% discount in gym membership fees. However, there is a clause to say that if I do not provide them with my Vitality reference number within 6 working days, I will have to pay R445 pm instead of the R89 pm that I stand to benefit from. I duly sent the consultant my reference number and have repeatedly asked for him to confirm that my membership has been activated. Instead, I must chase your sales representative and email and sms him, only for him to tell me that he'll check to see if my membership is activated. Very disrespectful too - calls me "sister". I demand for someone to resolve this immediately. I refuse to pay R445 pm, based on someone else's laziness and negligence.
