I bought droewors and biltong at Pick n Pay Hypermarket Greenstone Mall on Saturday 27 April 2013. My kids were eating it when we got home after shopping. My youngest son aged 5 years came to me saying he was feeling sick and the biltong was tasting funny. I did not believe him and went on to eat some of it. I was totally disgusted by what I saw and started to throw up. The biltong was green and mouldy on the inside. I asked him to spit out whatever he had in his mouth. No amount of medications or recommendations has made me or my family feel any better. PnP should re-assess their production methods, storage and stock rotation. This kind of old stock can be '"extremely" hazardous especially to children whose immune systems are not strong enough and could cause severe food poisoning. The droewors was "rotting" and just the thought of it in my mouth makes me sick to my stomach. I'm totally disgusted by this and will think twice to shop and PnP Hyper Greenstone Mall again. I have the packaging and a piece of the mouldy biltong if required.
