I have always done my shopping at this Pick 'n Pay (Morningside) on my way home from work. I have bought fruit there that are old (Apples and a Watermelon amongst others) and should not be on the shelves. Never did I complain. Tried to get bread on a few occasions then nobody was at the counter. I was the one who just smiled at that time also. Getting fruit/veg weighed was a mission... The staff are rude and unhelpful. Yesterday I had enough. I did my normal round get my smokes and them I move on to get the things I require and pay for these on my way out... like I always do.
Never had an issue before. Well yesterday I was told that I needed to do shopping and then come to the smoking counter to pay. Well... I asked to chat to the Manager. Mmmmm... Maybe employing some customer friendly staff and managers may work. I am still considering to boycott the brand as a whole. I also have a Shoprite Checkers and a Spar on my way home... I felt like a criminal and I am very disappointed with this experience. I did stop there almost every day. This will NOT be the case any more. Down with bad service... VERY DISAPPOINTED.
