I recently went to Gold City in Hemmingways mall in East London to collect my watch which they had repaired. The first thing, they DID NOT call me not once stating there would be any costs involve in repairing the watch as I was under the assumption the whole time it was under warranty. They quoted me R650 for the "repair" I refused to pay this amount as the watch cost me around the same price. They completely refused to give my watch back and then the lady blamed their suppliers. I then had to leave the watch unwillingly with them. After a couple month i went again to fight with the people and they said they willing to give half the costs. I still was very unhappy with this as clearly the fault with THEM! but I needed the watch as i was heading oversea's and just paid the amount. Upon returning home i noticed THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM i was having when i sent it in!!! I had no time to go back and compain with them and now Im abroad oversea's and hoping that this message will get out there to the people in East London as to warn them about the disgusting business ethics of these people, Quite clearly NOTHING was done to the watch. The battery was even flat slightly.
