Makro Samsung service shocking

I purchased a Samsung Pet friendly vacuum from Makro. There is a very bad design fault in the machine in that it does not pick up the hair and deposit it in the tank but stores it in the pipe.
I bought it from Woodemead Makro in December 2011. Took it to Makro Strubens Valley in March 2012 as it was not working and they replaced the drive shaft. They placed a sticker on the side of the tank saying that it was under a new warrantee and that it would be guaranteed for a further year. It was not working again in March 2013 so I took it to Woodmead Makro. They do not use the same repair agent as Strubens Valley. That is not my problem. If I had moved out of town would I have had to return the machine to Woodmead to cover the guarantee? They repaired the machine and said I had R520.00 to pay. I explained that it was under a new warrantee and I had dropped the machine off before the expiry date. I left the machine there as I was not prepared to pay for a machine that was just over a yea
