Edgars has no change for customers

Yesterday (Tuesday 15th January) I spent a gift card at Edgars.

The service level was underwhelming and then to cap it all when it came to paying in a small amount, I was told that they had no 5c pieces for change.

Now if management want to set prices that include 5c as the last figure THEN it is OBVIOUS that they need to have 5c pieces for change - otherwise it is systematic if you expect every customer to smile and accept a 5c loss.

There are two issues here: one is the principle which suggests inadequate management ability or pricing ability or whatever; and the second is one of disregarding the customer's rights - 100 000 customers deprived of 5c each is R5000 - which I wouldn't mind receiving free of charge every month if I was offered it.

SO PLEASE save your staff embarrassment and make your prices whole numbers - R170 and not R169.95 etc.
