Do you do any buy back on phones

I went into your tokai store to do a buy back on my CELLPHONE. I did such an transaction before at the store and did not have any problem. I got there and said i wanted to do a buy back. The buyer than said that they need identification that it is my phone (and not a contracts etc) or they need a invoice. The phone i got as a gift last year from a Foreign friend. Where am i suppose to get invoice etc. He did not even explain and just said he cant accept the phone.
