I bought some curry chicken at Spar and the price was R89.99P/Kg, in the bowl was 2 pieces of chicken for which i paid R21.95. Some price on pre-packed chicken pieces were R110 p/kg, now show me a shop that is selling chicken for that prices. Checkers is R39.00 to R43.00 for a 2 kilo pack, Metro almost the same AND AT TIMES 5 chickens work you out cheaper. I actually complained to the manager (HENDRIK) and asked him why he is so expensive... he came up with a lame excuse of i must buy the chicken, cook it and see how much i get out??? I then told him that they are the peoples money. I really feel that this SPAR franchise is the paople with rediculous high prices on its goods and should really be investigated. There is something like price control where the consumer is looked after OR NOT
