I have to laugh everytime I walk into this Spar. Their prices are exhorbitant to say the least.
Their HMR (Take Away) is more expensive than the Steers next door, and their chicken pieces cost more than KFC's. If I can buy a Steers burger and chips for R28.00 - why should I bother buying a polystyrene punnet of meat stew for over R50.00?
A tin of snails anyone? A tin of these (same brand, same size) costs half the price at Checkers lol!
Is the floor tiled with gold and you give 5 star service to justify these prices? I don't think so as the Avo's on sale in the Fruit & Veg department big time - for R7.99 one gets a bruised yellow Avocado. How quaint.
People arent stupid - they know when they are being ripped off.
