I had a baby 6 weeks ago and recieved many gifts from woolworths as my friends family and I are loyal shoppers. 3 items that I recieved were summer garments with tags for R115.00, R120.00 and R250.00. Since winter is coming and I would prefer to dress my newborn warmly, I spoke to a customer care agent who informed me that the gift return policy was within 60 days with tags and I would then recieve a gift card however should the item have gone on sale I would recieve the reduced amount instead. Imagine my disappointment then when I went into woolworths this morning to exchange the items for items that I would prefer. Not only was the lady behind the counter extremely arrogant, I was also told that since the items had since gone on sale, I could not exchange or return them. Well done Woolworths! You have lost an extremely loyal customer and be sure that I will be informing all my friends and family that it is pointless to purchase their gifts from woolworths as they cannot be returned or exchanged for fear of the item being worthless within a few weeks.
