Poor quality aquasense dishwashe

My 3 year old Aquasense dishwasher failed within the warranty period - it tripped the earth leakage. A technician came out, said that this 'never happens', and it was repaired shortly. He told me this would not happen again... of course it did. However, now I am out of warranty period and they want to charge me R400 for someone to come out and look at it only, parts will be charged over and above that. I elected to send it to a local technician who would give me a quote for free. He tells me the PC board is blown and the part has to be ordered because it is old (3 years!), and it will cost R1900. Thereafter he said there may even be another fault, but he cannot find it, until PC board is replaced. I was advised to go and buy a Kelvinator or LG. I really thought the quality of Whirlpool would last, and that they wouldn't try to rip me off. Of course their customer service operator has no clue. Really? Must I pay R5000 for a machine that is going to last for 3 years only??? What utter rubbish. I have already advised everyone to steer clear of this brand.
