I tried to buy a small coffee table marked with a very big red notice "STOCK CLEARANCE" R1040, at the store in Design Quarter today. I was perfectly happy to put it in my car straight away, but was told I cant buy the floor sample - I need to pay R400 extra and wait 10 days to have it delivered from the warehouse in Midrand. Thats a 40% levy!!! Clearly they are not clearing the stock to which the sticker is attached - it is a lie. 3 different people have already explained the store policy to me, but that does not make this acceptable. I was also going to buy the Lift Table for R3990 and a chest of drawers for about R5000 but I am so annoyed, they can keep it!
