Third time warrants a complaint when nobody will fix the problem. I often purchase Ostrich Steak or Sausage from the Pick n Pay as it is a Discovery Item. With my discovery card and smartshopper I am able to get 35% back. I have purchased the item 3 times in just over a week. The first time I unfortunately did not pick up that the item did not scan and was entered manually, the second time I notified the staff and today returning it is still not scanning. I am then told that there is nothing they can do. The Cashier manually inputs the item under a "butchery code" this negates the 35% discount. So looking at these 3 sales I have essentially given away R43.00 odd rand split between my discovery card and smartshopper.
