Smart Shopper Points not awarded due to card swop

After multiple queries about smart shopper booster points not being awarded, I have just been told that the reason for that is because inadvertently I swopped Smartshopper cards with my wife. Points were not awarded because there was no synch between credit and smart shopper cards.
There are NO names on smart shopper cards. This can easily happen to anyone, we did not try and deceive Pick & Pay or Discovery
I feel very let down by Discovery, I have been on Diamond Status for several years, I have a life policy with Discovery and am a loyal and long standing customer of both Discovery & Pick & Pay.
I think at the very least, Discovery can honour the points due.
Yes, its written there in the small print somewhere but it really feels like you are passing the buck.
