I am highly upset with an incident that occurred at the CNA Lakeside mall. I selected a book "619 exercises" by Men's Health marked at R19.00&when I went to pay for the book it scanned R209.95, I noticed something was off when I wanted to sign the slip as the teller was covering the total amount¬ wanting to release the slip. When I enquired as to why the price scanned varied to the price advertised, the teller informed me that only her manageress would be able to assist with the problem. It took a long time for the manageress to arrive after 2 attendants left to call her. When she finally arrived&was informed of the situation, she immediately told me she was not going to honor the price advertised as that it was clearly a mistake made by the "new guy" &easily dismissible. She further informed me that they would get into trouble if they honored the price on the book. I took pictures of the book, barcode&visible price. I find this highly unacceptable because she as the manageress should take responsibility for her staff and ensure that these mistakes do not happen. I understand that mistakes happen but responsibility must be taken. I asked for a refund on my account, as she refused to listen.
