I love the new Sunningdale Food Lover's Market but I refuse to shop there again because they cheat customers. Today (for the 5th or 6th time!) the price at the till did not match the price at the shelf. So often the advertised bulk purchases (ex. 3 for R20) just get rung up individually and end up costing more than advertised. Other times non-special items have also been more expensive than the shelf sticker. Today it was rice cakes, the previous time it was cans of tuna that were rung up at a more expensive price and when the manager was called to override she didn't say a single word to us or the cashier nor look us in the eyes (obviously we weren't the first to complain and she knew about it). My step-mother has also had the same experience multiple times and now checks every single item as it is rung up.
Why should I stare at the screen like a hawk and monitor everything that is rung up? Why should I feel like I'm being difficult when I ask to pay the correct price? If the shop doesn't want to give items at a certain price, then do not advertise it as such.
